The Internet of Things (IoT) is revolutionizing the Digital Healthcare sector, offering new opportunities to improve the quality of healthcare, increase efficiency and reduce costs. the IoT is being used in the digital health sector in a variety of ways, for example, wearable devices such as smartwatches, fitness bracelets and wearable sensors constantly monitor physical activities, heart rate, sleep and other metrics. This data can be sent to physicians or care givers for continuous monitoring of patients with chronic conditions or for disease prevention.

In particular, it offers numerous benefits for the “silver age,” the elderly population. This technology can improve the quality of life for the elderly, ensure greater safety and provide better health care. There are many applications of IoT for the silver age:

Home medical care: IoT devices can constantly monitor the vital signs of the elderly, sending data to health care providers. This enables continuous monitoring and timely response in case of emergencies.

Fall detection systems: The elderly are more susceptible to falls. IoT devices, such as motion sensors, can detect falls and send notifications to health care providers or family members.
