Product Mindset
A product mentality provides value to customers by prioritising continuous evolution, data-driven decisions and customer satisfaction.
In particular, it concerns the soft skills of the product manager who must be able to have a strategy for interpreting customer needs, focusing on results, giving value to the company’s products, seeing new opportunities and value in improvements to existing products or creating new ones.
In addition, a great deal of emphasis should be placed on collaboration, with methodologies such as Agile that allow changes and improvements to be made to the product while it is being developed, with the opportunity to discuss and decide together with the development team how to make the product better by accommodating the needs of the stakeholders.
Product mindset requires us to have humility in approaching a project or product to be developed with fresh eyes in order to have a mind free from any previously adopted solutions that limit our creativity but that we must definitely take into account to avoid past mistakes.
Before starting a project is important following framework must be kept in mind:
What goal do we want to achieve?
What result do we want to achieve?
How can I achieve it?
Do I have all the necessary resources?
What do the stakeholders expect?
